Our service values are person-centred, strength-based, trauma-informed, innovation, integrity, and collaboration.
Below is a brief description of each:
Person-centred: We put our service users at the centre of care and focus on their needs, wants, and preferences, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Our staff work collaboratively with our service users and their support network to create a care plan that suits their unique needs and goals. We ensure that our service users have a say and control over the care they receive, which would improve their quality of life and overall well-being.
Strength-based: We focus on identifying and building on our service user’s strengths, rather than focusing solely on their weaknesses or deficits. Our staff collaborate with the individual to identify their strengths and build on them to achieve their goals. By focusing on strengths, our staff help individuals develop a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy, which leads to greater independence, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
Trauma-informed: We recognise the prevalence of trauma and its impact on our service users’ lives. Our staff work to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth. Our staff are also capable of recognising the signs of trauma and responding in a way that is sensitive and supportive, rather than re-traumatising. The trauma-informed approach would help individuals feel more secure and supported, which would improve their mental health and overall well-being.
Innovation: We encourage our staff to think creatively and outside the box to find new and innovative ways to support our service users. Our staff experiment with different approaches and techniques to find what works best for everyone. By taking an innovative approach, our staff help our service users achieve their goals in new and unexpected ways, which leads to greater independence and a higher quality of life.
Integrity: This value entails acting with honesty, transparency, and accountability, in all interactions with our service users receiving care or support and upholding ethical and professional standards in all our interactions and decision-making. It involves ensuring that all actions align with the values of the organisation and the expectations of stakeholders.
Collaboration: We work as a team and in partnership with our service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes and continuity of care hence care or support is holistically delivered.
